There is more opportunity now than ever before to expand our businesses. There is a myriad of products and services out there, it can be an arduous task sifting the good from the bad. So I thought it might be a good idea to put together a page of helpful resources that you can check in on from time to time as you need to for your business growth. Yes some are affiliate links and I may earn a small commission from them, but they are not here for that purpose, these are all products and services I have used and most likely I am currently using them as part of my business. Thank you!
Building an Online Presence
THESIS THEME - Options Galore and a Helpful Support Community. Thesis is one of the best WordPress Frameworks. Excellent if you are looking for something with lots of options.
HOSTGATOR - I consider this the best hosting company around. They are very affordable, their customer service is excellent and super fast. The have an easy to use cPanel with a once click installation of WordPress, which means you don't need to be extremely tech savvy to get things going.
WORDPRESS –As far as I am concerned this is the only way to build your websites. Every website I own or have built for other people is based on the WordPress platform. Extremely easy to use and highly customizable.
INKTHEMES - By far my favorite theme providers. This website and 90% of the websites I create are based on themes from ink themes. They have excellent technical support and are very willing to help you customise the themes to suit your needs. They also have an extensive online database of requested modifications that you can search and often find the mod your looking for without having to wait for a service response.
ELEGANT THEMES - This company provides great quality low cost themes. It would be my next go to provider if Ink Themes don't have what I am looking for.
CRAZY DOMAINS - Great domain name provider, much cheaper than purchasing a name through Hostgator, but their hosting isn't as cheap. I use Crazy Domains to purchase my domains and them point them to Hostgator to get the best of both worlds. Check regularly they have super discounts like $1 domains, and I have even managed to grab some for free!
MAILCHIMP-After trying a lot of different email providers some free some paid I have settled on mailchimp. It is the most cost effective way to manage your email list for newsletters or autoresponders for new clients and potential client signups. Using an email provider like mailchimp helps avoid spam problems and makes sure you newsletter gets to your clients everytime. They also provide templates for newsletters or a very easy to use email builder to create your own unique newsletters and emails.
Selling Stuff Online
PAYPAL - Probably the biggest and the best online payment processor. Although not the cheapest they are definitely secure and trusted. More players are coming onto the scene so check back here often to see what else I can recommend.
My favorite device to read books on is my Kindle. I can take my whole library where ever I go. I would highly recommend the $100 investment in one.
