There are several types of product manufactures. Some distribute their own products and some rely on distribution companies. While the distribution company may be Australian owned the products are imported. Some of the factors that influenced our choices were:
- Was the product manufacture seriously committed to investing in the success of individual salons such as ours, or were they more focused on larger chain stores that would work on larger volumes of sales.

- Has their product line evolved to meet the needs of hairstylists or was it just about creating a multitude of products.
