One guest. One appointment.
Nothing rushed.
Colour and cutting are planned together here, not booked as separate services. You are the only appointment in the studio while you’re in it.
This is not a smaller salon. It is a different model.
One guest is booked at a time. There is no double booking, no chair-hopping between clients, no processing time spent waiting on someone else’s colour. The appointment is yours from the moment you sit down to the moment you leave.
Appointments are typically secured four to eight weeks in advance — not because access is being manufactured, but because each session takes the time it takes, and that time has to come from somewhere.
The Shizen Assessment
Before any colour is mixed or any cutting begins, every guest goes through the Shizen Assessment — built around what your hair, your features, and your maintenance rhythm will actually support, not just what you think you want booked.
-
Natural colour mapping
Your existing depth, tone, and grey pattern.
-
Texture and movement reading
How your hair falls, curls, expands, or resists shape.
-
Visual weight assessment
How strong or soft your colour and cut should feel against your features.
-
Lifestyle and longevity planning
Hair that works with the way you actually live, not against it.
-
Refinement strategy
What gets enhanced, what gets softened, and what gets left alone.
This isn’t a five-minute chat at the basin. It’s where the decisions get made — everything after this is execution.
The Sessions
Signature Atelier Session
Colour, shape, and overall hair health, maintained together — hair that still feels considered and easy to live with between visits, not just on the day you leave.
Grey Hair Refinement
For grey that’s arriving gradually and doesn’t need full coverage to look polished. Coverage, blending, or deliberate preservation — the assessment decides which, not a default.
Wabi Sabi Cut & Shape
Precision cutting shaped around how your hair actually moves — a shape that holds, softens, and grows out with balance, not one built for a single afternoon.
Cut and colour are considered as one decision, not two separate appointments — even when a guest is only booking one.
Timber, stone, and a slower rhythm.
No retail noise, no upsell at the till, no sense that you’re being fitted around someone else’s schedule.
You’ll be asked more questions than you expect, and probably fewer products will be recommended than you expect. What you leave with is meant to still make sense in six weeks — not just on the walk to the car.
What a session reflects.
Every session is priced to reflect the time the assessment takes, the fact that you are the only guest being seen, and the planning that goes into how the colour will grow out — not the number of products used or minutes on the clock.
Signature Atelier Sessions begin at $150. The exact scope — and the right starting point for you — is confirmed during your enquiry, once Anthony understands your hair.
Most guests start with a conversation, not a booking.
Tell Anthony what’s frustrating you about your hair now, and what you’d like it to feel like instead — he’ll recommend where to start from there.
