Complete grey coverage is a considered choice. If you want no grey showing after your appointment, I will work toward a natural-looking result that suits your features and the way you want to maintain your hair.
In my private atelier in Deception Bay, I see one guest at a time. We begin with what you want to see in the mirror, then assess your grey pattern, previous colour and how your hair has responded between appointments.
When grey has been difficult to cover
Perhaps the colour looks translucent at your temples. Perhaps white hair at the hairline still shows after a salon visit, or the coverage seems to fade well before your next one. Repeating the same application or reaching automatically for a stronger formula may miss the reason.
I look at where the coverage failed, the proportion and distribution of white hair, its texture, the colour already on the lengths, and the processing and maintenance history. These details guide the choice of tone, formulation, placement and timing. I can recommend a plan after seeing your hair; I cannot promise a particular result before that assessment.
Coverage can still look like you
Covering grey does not require a flat or overly dark finish. The depth and tone should sit comfortably with your complexion and the rest of your hair. Where useful, I preserve or restore dimension so the colour has movement and reflection.
If you prefer some grey to remain visible, grey blending is another option. You do not have to choose it. The first decision is how much grey you want to see.
What happens as it grows?
Complete coverage conceals visible grey on the day. New white hair will show at the roots as it grows. How soon that becomes noticeable depends on your growth rate, grey pattern, parting and the contrast with your chosen colour. We will plan a realistic return rhythm rather than promise a maintenance schedule that does not suit the result you want.
Your visit
The Colour Refinement Session is $200 when the shape is already working and the colour needs attention; it does not include a haircut. If both colour and shape need work, the Full Atelier Session is $300. The right starting point depends on your existing colour, hair length and goal. Appointments are on Saturdays, one guest at a time.
When you enquire, tell me where your grey is hardest to cover, what has happened with previous colour, how much grey you want to see and whether you also need a haircut. A recent photo in natural light is useful. I will recommend an appropriate session and discuss what is achievable from your starting point.
