About Anthony Presotto
Considered hair, shaped with experience.
I work privately from my atelier in Deception Bay, Queensland, creating refined colour and considered haircuts for women who value calm, discretion, and hair that grows out beautifully.
Beauty as a craft.
Kindness as a standard.
This is not a traditional salon environment.
My studio is private, quiet, and deliberately limited. I see one guest at a time, by appointment only, so your hair can be approached with care rather than urgency.
There is no double booking. No rush. No sense that you are being fitted around someone else.
The space is calm by design. Timber, stone, restrained textures, and a slower rhythm create an experience that feels more like an atelier than a salon.
The approach
Hair should not be forced.
It has movement, weight, texture, and direction. When it is cut well, it settles with ease. When colour is planned carefully, it softens the face, respects the natural hair, and grows out with more grace.
My work is not about chasing trends or creating dramatic change for the sake of it.
It is about refining what already belongs to you.
Structure first.
Balance always.
Longevity over immediacy.
A cut should hold its form beyond the day it is created. Colour should evolve with control, not collapse into harsh lines after a few weeks.
For women who want to feel understood
Many women come to me because they are tired of hair that feels too heavy, too harsh, too bright, too flat, or too difficult to maintain.
Some are beginning to see grey and do not want aggressive coverage or obvious regrowth lines. Some want their colour to feel softer and more natural. Some simply want to sit with someone who listens properly before picking up a brush or scissors.
My role is to guide you toward hair that feels considered, wearable, and aligned with the way you want to present yourself.
Experience and discipline
I have worked in hairdressing for more than four decades.
Over that time, I have learned that mastery is not noise. It is not performance. It is repetition, correction, restraint, and the willingness to keep refining.
My work is influenced by Italian craftsmanship, the quiet beauty of imperfection, and the discipline of continuous improvement.
I am also an industry colour educator, working with professional hairdressers and salon teams to deepen their understanding of colour, technique, and client care.
That education work informs what I do in the atelier, but it never replaces the most important part of the appointment: the woman sitting in front of me.
The book
My book, Legacy Over Likes: The Art of Building a Career That Matters in a World Obsessed with Followers, was written for hairdressers who want to build something deeper than attention.
It is about craft, character, reputation, and the quiet discipline required to create a body of work that lasts.
In an industry often distracted by visibility, the book asks a more important question:
What are you building when nobody is watching?
That philosophy also shapes the way I work inside the atelier. I am not interested in hair that only looks good for a photo. I am interested in hair that belongs to your life, your rhythm, and the way you want to feel every day.
What matters
True luxury is not excess.
It is time. It is attention. It is knowing when to stop.
It is hair that feels softer, more balanced, and easier to live with.
When you leave the atelier, the goal is not for your hair to be louder.
The goal is that you feel composed.
Confident without effort.
More aligned with yourself.
That is the work.
