A: Yes. ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® solutions does not contain any chemicals that produce formaldehyde or any other cancer-causing substances. Stylists and clients do not need to wear protective masks during the ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® procedure. Other smoothing treatments such as Brazilian/Keratin treatments may contain hazardous chemicals which release highly carcinogenic gas. Q: What kind of results can be expected?
A: The treated hair will be smoother and more manageable. This treatment will fortify and nourish the hair, which over time will lead to naturally healthier and shinier hair.

A: ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® procedure is not just about smoothing away frizz, it also controls and improves hair texture. Correct application by a trained and experienced stylist will give you the results you desire. Make sure you consult a stylist if you have any concerns before getting the treatment.
Q: How long does the ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® process take?
A: Approximately 90 minutes, depending on the hair type, length amount of hair and damage level.
Q: How long does the ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® last?
A: Results of ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® will last on average 3 months. We recommend that you get touch-ups every 3-5 months, when the coating naturally washes away. Better after care regimens will results in longer lasting results.
Q: How soon after having ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® can the hair be washed or get wet?
A: You can wash or wet your hair 1 day after this treatment is done. Other keratin treatment can require up to 4 days before washing.
Q: Does ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® work on any type of hair?
A: Yes, ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® works on any type of hair, especially processed and highly damaged hair. This treatment can be performed on hair with relaxer, Brazilian/Keratin Treatment or Japanese hair straightening as well. We do, however, suggest waiting 2 weeks after the hair is colored/highlighted before this treatment is done.
Q: Can I have ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® and color done at the same time?
A: No. Color your hair at least 2 weeks before or after the anti-frizz treatment procedure. Applying both chemical treatments simultaneously will result in hair damage, so do them separately to avoid undesirable results.
Q: How is ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® different from the original Japanese hair straightening and other thermal reconditioning method?
A: The original YUKO straightening is permanent, but ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® is semi-permanent, so the treatment will last on average 3 months. The hair’s results from ANTI-FRIZZ BY YUKO® will be smooth and more manageable, but hair will not be perfectly straight.
